“Truck loses power to engine while driving. I have no oil pressure no fuel no speedometer and no rooms but my battery runs on about 14. Truck will drive at speed it shutsdown at but if u stop it takes a little longer to gain speed. This has did this about 5 times in 2 weeks I had it in the shop 3 times and we are unable to figure it out. If u turn the truck up it will not start u have to unhook the battery to get power back.”

NHTSA complaint #11396686, filed 2021-02, 163,000 miles

“Heard the dash start to make a noise, looked at it and there was a small hairline crack. Came back to the car about 4 hours later and there were two cracks about the odometer. This car is garaged every evening and is well kept on the inside. I have been a loyal customer to GM but after this I doubt I will ever buy GM again.”

NHTSA complaint #10853732, filed 2016-04, 80,160 miles

“I have multiple cracks in my dashboard. One on the top right corner of the airbag and another over the instrument panel. This is a widespread problem that GM has refused to acknowledge. There are thousands of people affected by this. This dashboard should be recalled. It seriously impacts our resale value.”

NHTSA complaint #11001594, filed 2017-06, 65,000 miles

“I am having a big issue with cracks on my dash board- I have a 2010 Suburban and the cracks started in 2013 and have now grown in size to where a portion of my dash has caved in above the instrument cluster as well as a crack now reaching to the passenger air bag. I have read of other people having the same cracking issue in the same locations on the dash. Is there a fix for this? I'm concerned of issues if there is a collision or the air bag deploys.”

NHTSA complaint #11076467, filed 2018-03, 40,000 miles

“My dash is cracked on the passenger side between the airbag deploy location and the front window vents. This are is approximately 1 1/2 inches and obviously not well made as there are many others with the same issue. Only other problem is the steering wheel whines when I turn it. Other than that I really like my vehicle, just which chevy would stand behind its product more, especially when it is a real defect like the dash.”
