Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“The A/C condenser experienced a premature failure, loosing all the freon. This is a known issue and chevy has a special program to address the issue for a select number of vehicles. However, my vehicle is not covered under this recall even though I have the same problem as the ones covered under the recall. This is an environmental concern as well as a safety issue as it can cause window fog. Chevy needs to step up and pay to fix the issue for all the affected vehicle's. In addition, the front collision warning system is a joke, its inconsistent and rarely works.”

NHTSA complaint #11386100, filed 2021-01

“When turning the car left, the power to the engine dies. This also happens on many instances that the power has died to the engine mid drive on the road and hwy. Suddenly the forward collision note appears on the dash and other warnings appear after and then the power dies to the engine. Must stop and restart the engine for it to reset. Yes, it is available for inspection. While driving at high speeds the forward collision appears, and the car can suddenly die mid drive. Even at highway speeds. No, they claim that they cannot reproduce the issue. …”
