“Had an engine replacement in dec of 2025 and had to pay for it since wasn’t under warranty or recall. And now my replacement engine which has a warranty now. Just failed in March 2026 which about 3 months later. Had metal shavings in engine and multiple cylinders misfiring. And now I don’t have a family vehicle to drive my family around again. There should’ve been a recall on my engine, but wasn’t this is not fair. And I’m paying the price for it.”

NHTSA complaint #11729192, filed 2026-04

“I was driving our 2021 Chevy Suburban, which had ~107,000 miles on it, at approximately 75 miles per hour. With no other indication, the low oil pressure light came on, then within two seconds I lost all power (motor shut off) and lost electronics in the car. I had to man-handle the vehicle to get it off the road without power or dash controls. Our family was stranded near the California/Nevada border with no cell reception in the middle of the night for over seven hours. …”

NHTSA complaint #11638102, filed 2025-01

“I am submitting this complaint to report a serious safety issue involving my 2021 Chevrolet Suburban equipped with the 3.0L Duramax diesel engine. The vehicle has experienced a recurring problem related to the engine wiring harness. While driving, the vehicle will unexpectedly stall without warning. At the same time, there is an immediate loss of power steering assist, significantly reducing the ability to safely control the vehicle. This creates a dangerous situation, especially at highway speeds or in traffic. …”

NHTSA complaint #11725782, filed 2026-03

“Multiple issues with transmission since owned. It randomly goes into limp mode and everything will blink and it won't start back. The transmission has always shifted hard and sounded funny they told me if was normal for the vehicle. Leaking transmission fluid when owned for 4 months. I have had to the dealer multiple times, several repairs, told it is safe to keep driving by GM. The inverter is bad and told me it was ok to drive until they can repair. GM will not give me a fair response or answer. …”

NHTSA complaint #11503779, filed 2023-01

“A warning message appeared on my 2021 Chevy Suburban dashboard that says Service Safety Restraint System . This impacts the airbag control module under the driver seat. After doing some research on my own this is a TSB PIT5759 but it is not covered under a recall, as per my local dealership. I took the vehicle to the Chevy dealership where purchased and was told this is not a recall or warranty part. This is very disappointing as it impacts the airbag controls which in an accident could cause severe injury or death.”
