“Almost every time I shift from park to drive and take my foot off the brake my car jolts forward a couple feet/inches to take off by itself in a manner that it should not. This has been going on since I got the car brand new and have had it just over a little over a year. I try to be as careful as I can with it and mentioned it to the Chevrolet dealership that does all my maintenance on my car. …”
NHTSA complaint #11662986, filed 2025-05“When accelerating forward, the front wheel is almost locked up, and I was violently thrown forward into the seat belt and steering wheel. The transmission seemed like it jammed and the car was bucking. there is a known GM technical service bulletin on this, but no recall. The car was towed to the dealer and not drivable. I’m glad this did not happen on the highway or with other cars around or it would have caused an accident and injury.”
NHTSA complaint #11771770, filed 2026-10“The 2024 Trailblazer developed a problem going into reverse at less than 17500 miles in December of 2025 when my daughter came home for Christmas. It would slam into reverse or freeze and then shift harshly. The selling dealer replaced the valve body in the transmission while it was in for normal service, the valve body was on order for 30 days in January. After I delivered the car back to my daughter on January 26, 2026 which was 4 hours away in Northern Virginia the transmission continued to freeze and slam into reverse. The selling dealer advised not to drive it back to Virginia Beach, VA. …”
NHTSA complaint #11721070, filed 2026-02“My daughter was stopped at a stoplight and the auto-stop engaged. The light turned green and she began to accelerate when all of the error lights on the dash lit up, then the dash info system and infotainment system went out followed by the engine turning off and not restarting. While all of this happened, the vehicle behind me struck my daughter’s car. Luckily it was at a low rate of speed and no one was injured. I took the car to the dealer and after nearly a week of testing they found nothing wrong and found no error codes in the system. They ere not able to replicate the problem. …”
