“At 88,000 mile I have recieved a p0008 code - timing chains. This is odd to have stretched timing chains at this mileage. Reviewing similar complaints on the internet, this seems to be a common problem with 3.6 l engines made before 2011. I contact GM with no avail. Being such a common complaint by many why isn't GM standing behind this problem?”
NHTSA complaint #10992759, filed 2017-06, 88,549 miles“Vehicle was on the highway when I got off the exit the car started making a weird noise . I tried making a right and the car jerked and almost flipped over it's the third time it does this . This is a huge safety concern. I tried fixing the issue all three times and it keeps happening .”
NHTSA complaint #11142786, filed 2018-10, 165 miles“Without any warning the shifting gear stop working when placed on park, the truck moves forward or backwards depending on where I park it, the person washing my truck was lucky to be able to stop it when he noticed it was moving backwards when parked uphill, it could have been a terrible accident possibly fatal!”
NHTSA complaint #10870397, filed 2016-05, 87,700 miles“I was parked the traction control light came on. When I started driving the car would only go 10 MPH. When I looked up the problemb it sounds like a lot of Traverse owners are having the same problem why have they not recalled. For this issue”
NHTSA complaint #11171286, filed 2019-01, 98,000 miles“Loud whining noise while turning, and occasional difficult turning period. Contatced chevy dealership and they quoted $1000, repair when I explained the issue. Took to mechanic who flushed the power steering fluid but the issue persisted. I've seen numerous complaints about this issue on line , it has to be addressed by the manufacturer before someone is seriouly hurt or killed.”
