“I noticed that the transmission has a shutter really bad before I crossed over a hundred thousand miles it is gotten so bad that you cannot drive the vehicle without it shuttering it almost every gear. Took it to the dealership dealership said it had too many miles and all the warranties in all that couldn't help us they want $10,000 to replace it.”
NHTSA complaint #11733778, filed 2026-04“Around 65,000 miles I started to get a Shift to Park message when I tried to turn off the engine. The car was already in park. This is continuing to happen. I see that it has been an issue on this model since 2016. There needs to be a recall on this issue. You need to be able to turn off your car. Service Bulletins have been sent out but no recall.”
NHTSA complaint #11686876, filed 2025-09“In 2024, at 49000 miles, my transmission gave out and wouldnt allow me to accelerate. GM replaced the transmission. This past week, while driving on a busy hwy, it happened again. I narrowly avoided an accident and had to get my car towed a hour home. These are the codes P0700, P2732, P0746”
NHTSA complaint #11763259, filed 2026-09“When I shift the vehicle to park to turn it off, I keep getting a warning / error message that I need to shift to park ; even thought the gear shift is in park. I have to keep repeating the process multiple times in order to exit the vehicle. Most times I have to shift to park, sit and wait upwards of 5 minutes before turning the car off and it registering that it's in park.”
NHTSA complaint #11625281, filed 2024-11“About 1 week ago, I began getting Shift To Park warnings/notifications when I would park the car and turn off the engine. To make it stop, I usually have to turn the car back on, shift to a different gear, shift back to Park, wiggle the gear shift around side to side and back and forth within the Park gear. Sometimes it will have remedied when I attempt to turn the car off the second time, and other times I need to do the same procedure again. …”
