“We are now about to put in our 3rd 95 cirrus transmission and 2nd 95 Concorde transmission and feel that Chrysler should pay for the cost of repairs. I have shelled out nearly $12,000 between the two cars in the last 6 years for repeated failures in engines, water pumps, steering assembly failures, transmissions, brake systems, radios, air conditioners, fuel rails, alternators and computer PCM's to name a few. By far the worst quality cars and highest cost of ownership of any cars I have owned in the last 30 years. Something major goes wrong with these cars every few months.”

NHTSA complaint #10071236, filed 2004-01

“On three separate occasions the air conditioner quit cooling first two times dealer could not find coolant leak. On the second recharge of the cooling system the dealer added a leak detection dye to the system so if it quit working again it would be easyer to find leak. On 7 march 2000 we tested the airconditioner, and again it did not work. Took to different dealer , they found the leak in the evaporater core which was still under warranty. The dealer did repair at no cost to me. But the first two time I had to pay for charging the system. …”

NHTSA complaint #720138, filed 2000-03

“While driving instrument panel/air bag light/air conditioning system malfuctioned, causing vehicle to stall, almost causing an accident. There is a technical service bulletin on this problem, but dealer has not inspected the vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #836840, filed 1999-04

“Air conditioning not holding a charge. Car was brought to professional air conditioning shop system evacuated and a dye put in with the freon. The technichan informed me right away that the Chrysler corporation has had defects in these systems since day one but will not admit to it. He said that practically every Concorde, intrepid, cirrus, jeep that comes in either leaks in one of the three system, evaporator, condensor, dryer. Chrysler charges $950.00 to replace the evaporator!!!! …”

NHTSA complaint #706248, filed 1999-05

“In high humidity conditions the A/C cuts off after working for an hour and will not cut back on until ice melts from the evaporator. Dealer has replaced the condensor twice, and problem still exists.”
