“1215 miles . The adaptive cruise control system was acting sketchy. It failed to maintain proper distance and speed between the vehicle in front. We took it into the dealer who said that the sensor had failed on this brand new vehicle and they replaced it on 2/12/2025. After driving the vehicle when we got it back. There does not seem to be much different. …”

NHTSA complaint #11647127, filed 2025-03

“On two separate long trips (over 4,000 miles total in recent months), the adaptive cruise control system has failed while driving on the freeway. This is the most dangerous situation I have ever experienced while driving. When the failure occurs: All cruise control and lane-assist buttons become unresponsive. Dynamic cruise control remains engaged. When I press the brake, the vehicle slows—but as soon as I release the brake, it begins accelerating again. There is no way to turn the system off. …”

NHTSA complaint #11718312, filed 2026-02

“We were at a complete stop waiting for traffic to go, I had my foot on the brake pedal and the car lunge/revved up and hit the car in front of me. This is the 3rd time this has happened. The first time we were advised it was probably the front-end sensor that were probably covered with ice. We were advised they are very sensitive. The 2nd time it was winter still, so we took the car through the car wash to make sure no ice was built up. We did not get in an accident because traffic started to move. We took the vehicle to the dealership, and they could not find anything wrong with it. …”

NHTSA complaint #11748855, filed 2026-07

“Adaptive cruise control stops working for no apparent reason flashes forward collision system not working. will start up again for no reason from 5 to 15 min. had this problem for some time starting with our 2021 2023 2025 Chrysler pacifies some times you have to stop and restart to get cruise to work . dealer cant fix”

NHTSA complaint #11740579, filed 2026-05

“While driving a 2025 Chrysler Pacifica rental vehicle at highway speeds on the interstate, the vehicle experienced a catastrophic electronic throttle/cruise control failure resulting in sudden, violent, and sustained unintended acceleration. The cruise control system completely locked up and would not disengage. When the accelerator stuck, I heavily depressed the service brakes, but the braking system was completely unable to overcome the wide-open throttle of the engine. The vehicle refused to decelerate. …”
