“My vehicle has no back up camera or blind spot warning. Took to dealer for recall and they said they were only responsible for a software update and not solving the recall problem. My vehicle still does not have either of these functions. I was told I would have to pay for the repairs for this recall.”
NHTSA complaint #11644139, filed 2025-02“When adaptive cruise control is enabled and I’m at cruising speed, new vehicles entering the lane in front of my vehicle are not being acknowledged leading to my vehicle getting too close and collision becoming likely. This leads to me having to takeover control frequently to prevent accidents. This happens often, not always, but it is becoming more and more frequent. This happens at all speeds from 30 mph to 70mph”
NHTSA complaint #11685214, filed 2025-09“My Pacifica completely shut down. All the warning lights came on such as crash detected, ABS light, and the windshield wipers came on. The vehicle was towed to the dealership that I bought the vehicle from. They completed a hard reset of the vehicle, and I took it home. Two days later it did the same thing all the lights came on, but it allowed me to drive it to the dealership. Still waiting to see what they think the problem is this time.”
NHTSA complaint #11635953, filed 2025-01“Nothing exciting happened. It was a really bad rain/storm and I was driving as normal and I guess the front crash detection glitched out. I tried all the simple fixes tried to get it code tested and nothing pops up. So my front breaking doesn’t work meaning I can’t even use cruise control either. Also this maybe the a two for one. But the car was recalled for the backup camera and I went to get the recall done TWICE and it still didn’t fix the issue and Chrysler refuses to fix the issue.”
NHTSA complaint #11760201, filed 2026-08“I was backing out of the driveway. I had all the safety features on, and I was checking my surroundings. Typically, the blind spot and front sensors would alert me to dangers. However, on this and many other occasions the warnings didn't alert me to danger on my passenger side that I couldn't see. this resulted in damage to the front quarter panel of my van as well as damage to the bumper. The body shop said it would cost at least $5000 to repair the damage. I can't afford that; in turn I am driving around with the damage.”
