“When the car was stopped at a stop sign getting ready to make a right turn, the engine turned off. Though the car was on drive, I was unable to accelerate or move the car. I had to shift to park, restart the car and was then able to drive. This happened eleven days later again, in even scarier circumstances. The engine turned off when I was slowing down in preparation to merge into a highway. The car turned off and stopped and I could not accelerate or drive, holding up the cars behind me. …”

NHTSA complaint #11413131, filed 2021-04, 950 miles

“While driving at full speed on an interstate, I received the message, Stop Safely, Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon. The van then lost power, and I was able to pull over safely (thankfully!). After about 15 minutes, the van restarted, and I made it about 10 miles until it happened again. After two more shut-downs, I was able to get the van to a dealership, where it has been sitting undiagnosed for over a week now.”

NHTSA complaint #11591550, filed 2024-05

“After having the car serviced to fix the recall, my car stopped running while on the freeway at 60mph. This is now the 3rd time in less than 10 days that this has happened. I had the transmission replaced previously to fix this issue but it has returned.”

NHTSA complaint #11600656, filed 2024-07

“The vehicle constantly stalls out when we driving on the freeway. The vehicle loss of the power on the freeway put me and my family's life in very dangerous situation when we drove the vehicle. Brough my vehicle to the dealership, and it verified the problem with engine light error code P0A43-00. The dealer stated that they are not able to fix it due to the issue was related to a active recall 03A. However, the remedy was not available.”

NHTSA complaint #11507199, filed 2023-02

“I was on the highway, and my car suddenly lost power. I was unable to accelerate, and I had to pull over on the shoulder. I received an alert that said “service charging system error.” It was extremely dangerous for myself and my family.”
