“The fcw (forward collision warnings system) appears to have an issue. The unit have not warned ones while driving after 6000 miles (and we have had close calls) also tested as we had similar system on other cars. The dealer have looked at it but can't find any issue, even when the car system showed that it was an issue with the fcw, the dealers technician did not get any error cod when logged in to the cars on-board computer system.”

NHTSA complaint #10920141, filed 2016-10, 6,000 miles

“Acc & fcw. Mine did not work. The dealer had my car for 2 weeks. They had to contact the Chrysler engineer & was told to replace & re-calibrate. So after being replaced it somewhat works. After the new parts, my car will still brake hard when a car in the adjacent lane is exiting (as if the car was braking in front of me). But, if a car changes lanes directly in front of me or slams on brakes directly in front of me my car doesn't react? Chrysler has definitely fallen short on this function. I've owned vehicles where this function worked nearly flawless. …”

NHTSA complaint #10928948, filed 2016-12, 5,000 miles

“From a stop at a stop light, when light turned green accelerated to about 18 MPH (going straight through light) then lost all power (with accelerator still depressed) while in middle of the intersection. At that same time a notification displayed on the dashboard for about 5 seconds stating adaptive cruise control (acc) off . After about 5 seconds notification disappeared and power returned to vehicle. This exact issue happened twice in the same day.”

NHTSA complaint #11406740, filed 2021-04, 84,800 miles

“On long trips (generally greater than1 hour) the acc/fcw (adaptive cruise control/front collision warning system) system fails intermittantly (with or without the cruise actually being active) and the dash displays acc/fcw unavailable service required . Once having failed, the system cannot be reset while continuing to drive, but turning the engine off and restarting will reset it. Losing these system presents a safety hazard as the fcw is not only a warning system but can actually stop the car in an emergency setting. …”

NHTSA complaint #11067344, filed 2018-02, 23,100 miles

“My vehicle now 3 times just stops on me luckily 2 of the 3 times i was going maybe 10 mph. only once i was going 35 and it just slams shut i am being told they are no active recalls however this is a problem and going to cause an accident when this happens my drive light on the dash is flashing as well as on the knob to put it in to drive. this is just one of the many problems with the vehicle the transmission constantly jerks you around. the sliding doors have a mind of their own. …”
