“Multiple times our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica has revved up, then stalled. The screen tells the driver to put the car in park. I did, then was able to put it in drive again. Sometimes it completely stalls, other times the RPM increases then the car decelerates and I cannot drive over 20 MPH. This has happened while driving slowly at an intersection as well as driving on a highway.”
NHTSA complaint #11341293, filed 2020-07, 66,000 miles“The vehicle has stalled in traffic when in drive and it will place itself in park. We haven't had the van a year yet and it had done this within 6 months of ownership. Recently it has done this at a stop light and then also at a slow down 2 days in a row. I looked the VIN up in recalls but, it says incomplete. I hope that this issue can be resolved by Chrysler soon.”
NHTSA complaint #11083550, filed 2018-04, 20,000 miles“While driving at 45 MPH, vehicle shuts off without warning. Very dangerous as the car needs to come to a stop to restart. I was merging onto a highway which made matters worse. Van did a similar thing earlier in the daybut I was in park. Just shut off, no warning. At dealership now.”
NHTSA complaint #10995833, filed 2017-06, 5,700 miles“My van is constantly stalling... Weather its me taking off after a stop or driving through town my van is always jerking me around. I have taken it to the dealership multiple times but they have done nothing to fix the issue. Now my van wont start and multiple codes came on when trying to start my van. Something with my powersteering being locked, service electronic stabiliti control, service antilock break system, park brake temporarily unavailable and powersteering unavailable.”
NHTSA complaint #11328828, filed 2020-06, 61,000 miles“I brought my car into the shop on friday february 2, because I had experienced on 2 separate occasions a stall. Once when I was turning out of my subdivision, so thankfully at a slow speed, however, the car stalled in the middle of a busy road that I was turning onto. The second time, I was pulling into the gas station, decellerating at about 30mph. I had no idea about this recall, I just knew that I needed to get it fixed, as I have 3 children that ride in my car every day. …”
