“The traction control and esp lights have been on for months, dealer states that the problem is the clockspring, but part is not available. So currently the esp and traction control, both of which are safety features are not functioning and I can not repair cause part is not readily available, I feel there should be a recall to cover this safety concern.”

NHTSA complaint #10721507, filed 2015-05, 100,000 miles

“The oil cooler rusted out and liquid poured from it. Over heated terribly. Part is on national backorder and no one anywhere ha's this part. Driving, computer malfunction while driving 55mph threw my car into limp mode. Pulling out of gas station, driving maybe 4mph, ABS, traction and throttle body light came on and brakes froze. Had to throw my car into park to avoid hitting pole. Refuses to turn over. Hate this car nothing but problems!”

NHTSA complaint #10874032, filed 2016-06, 186,000 miles

“I have a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica with a safety problem. Warning lights on the ip indicate a failure, illuminating ?esp/bas? [electronic stability program/brake assist system]. I have had three dealers run the diagnostic codes and other tests tell me there is a ?clockspring? Failure in the steering angle sensor, which needs to be replaced. Chrysler will not provide repair replacement parts to the dealer so this safety problem can be corrected. …”

NHTSA complaint #10655376, filed 2014-11, 140,000 miles

“My daughter brought me this car for my birthday 2007. I have been complaining since 2007 about the ignition. I was told it was the key. I purchase a new key, well the key is not the problem. I have been in the middle of the street and the car would just shout off. I keep replacing batteries after batteries. I finally found out it is the ignition, the way I found out is a certain way I had to turn the key for the car to start. I really learn to love my car but I have so many issues I don't know whether I would advise anymore to purchase one. …”

NHTSA complaint #10788178, filed 2015-11, 36,000 miles

“I pulled into a gas station for fuel and upon applying brakes, felt a slight shudder. After turning off the engine and fueling up, I started the car and put it in drive and it immediately shut the engine off. I tried a second time, same result. I was able to drive in reverse to a parking spot, and continued trying to drive forward, the engine would shut down each time. I noticed the electronic stability control light on the instrument panel was on. Not knowing what it meant, eventually called a tow service for help. Fortunately, home was only 45 minutes away. …”
