“I was riding on the highway with my daughter in passenger seat when suddenly my engine light started blinking and the RPM's shot up to about 7,000 and continued if accelerator was press. I immediately pulled over. Call aaa to have car towed to my destination. The car was now in what is called limp mode and has been for 2 months now.”

NHTSA complaint #11353598, filed 2020-09, 211,498 miles

“I've put 2 starters on my 2007 chysler Sebring in the last 3 months. The car starts greats then while driving it starts to make this loud grinding noise and once you cut the car off it just clicks. This time it did the same thing but this time when I cut the car off it kept running and I had to go turn the ignition switch off again and of course it won't start.”

NHTSA complaint #11172485, filed 2019-01, 223,132 miles

“The electrical in the dash started flickering on and off without warning. Eventually it stopped working all together. I took it to a service dept I work at and they told me I needed to take it back to the dealer because they would have to rip the whole dash apart and replace it. That would cost me around $600. Seems like other people have had the same problem. Has this ever been a recall?”

NHTSA complaint #10681902, filed 2015-02, 69,000 miles

“I was going about 55 MPH when the electronic throttle control light came on. It was flashing with made it impossible to reach speeds over 40 MPH. I was a danger on the highway because I was unable to maintain speed as well as the vehicle hesitating. It took me 1hour and a half to travel 35 miles. The next day started it and the light went out, I have been afraid to drive it. No one seems to have an easy answer.”

NHTSA complaint #10559580, filed 2014-01, 44,550 miles

“Attempted to start vehicle in the morning, turned the key to crank motor and the engine would not start but continued to crank. Eventually it stopped cranking, I attempted to start vehicle again then it started. Began driving my car down the highway and the air bags light started going off and stayed on for the rest of my drive. Also while driving around corners the brake light will go off as well as going down some hills.”

NHTSA complaint #10543796, filed 2013-09, 96,000 miles
