“I was going park under my carport and the car would not stop, I kept pressing the brakes down as hard as I could but the car kept moving until I pulled the emergency brake almost went into my house. Another incident where I was crossing the thruway and the car stalled in the middle of the intersection with cars coming, close to getting hit by multiple cars, other incidents where the car kills while under the red light, have to restart it.”
NHTSA complaint #10462068, filed 2012-06, 45,406 miles“My 2007 Chrysler Sebring caught on fire. Smoke was coming from the dashboard and steering area. The ABS light came on after the smoke. (ps there were no physical injuries, but mentally it's frightening, we're terrified to get back into that car! Mentally 2 persons were injured.”
NHTSA complaint #10330775, filed 2010-05, 36,000 miles“I went to the store in my 2007 Chrysler Sebring, and park the car on a level parking lot, when I came out of the store, the car was stuck in the park position and I could not move it. I searched on-line only to find out that this is a common problem.”
NHTSA complaint #10356300, filed 2010-09, 59,800 miles“I own a 2007 Chrysler Sebring bought new in oct 2007. I have been having a constant vibrating problem with the braking system and/or tires since may 2008 and I did not know my brake system was covered under warranty up to 18,000 miles so I took it a firestone dealer. At the time I had 15,000 on my Sebring and they told me that my brakes were wearing down due to my rotors eating my brad pads and I would need them to be resurfaced. …”
NHTSA complaint #10245867, filed 2008-10, 15,000 miles“Air bag indicator light constantly beeps and stays on for periods of time. When I'm on the on-ramp entering a highway and driving in a curve the brake indicator light comes on. Sometimes it comes on while driving on a flat surface. Since I've had this car, the right front tire pressure has never read. It just reads -- where the number should be. I have had to replace my crank position sensor twice. I lost acceleration while driving.the second time I had to replace the electrical throttle something (etc) as well. Now it is out a 3rd time. Luckily I was in my driveway this time! Please recall!”
