“48hrs after I received and oil change I was driving to victorville california from san bernardino california and as I was exiting my exit my car turned off as I was driving. Car would not start. Tried to jump it and the engine would not turn over. I towed it to the shop after some troubleshooting they said it was the engine.. It had locked up. I was quoted $2500 for repairs”

NHTSA complaint #11299431, filed 2020-01, 125,000 miles

“The steering started grabbing and sqealing around 81k miles when I turn. Sometimes it would become very hard to control when slowing down to turn such as at red lights or in a drive thru. No lights or sensors ever came on. From what I have read online there are several 2013 Dodge chargers with the same issue. This is very dangerous and expensive to have repaired. I opted to have it fixed but I feel this issue should be looked into. I had the gear rack and pinion and power pump replaced.”

NHTSA complaint #11394606, filed 2021-02, 81,000 miles

“Whenever I am driving and I turn left and the steering wheel is so hard to turn it seems as if it's stuck. I have come extremely close to hitting medians because the car just doesn't seem to want to turn. It only happens with left turns. The right seems to be okay. I don't feel safe driving my children knowing that the car doesn't operate properly. I checked recalls but there doesn't seem to be one. I have checked other forums and several 2013 Charger owners have experienced the same issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11067046, filed 2018-02, 45,000 miles

“I was driving home from work around 2am on tuesday morning 10/22/2013. I was just coming out of a construction zone and it just turned back to 55mph. I was going approximately 45 MPH when all of a sudden I heard something in the front end and the steering wheel began to shake and it started moving back and forth without me moving it. I lost all control over the vehicle and it shot me over towards the right and slammed me into the guardrail. …”

NHTSA complaint #10550919, filed 2013-11, 1,200 miles

“I was driving home and stopped to allow another car to turn in front of me, I flashed my lights once to alert the other drive to go and my windshield wipers came on at a high speed. I tried to turn them off and they would not stop, I turned the wiper switch backwards and forward and they still would not turn off. I had to drive home (in broad sunny daylight) with the wipers going very fast on dry glass! Very annoying and upsetting - with no warning. When I arrived home, I turned the car off and back on and the wipers were still going. …”
