“As I was making a turn (car was in motion on street), the steering wheel stiffened up, the car became extremely hard to control. After completing the turn I pulled into a empty parking space. I turned off the and then turned on the car. I then received a message from the car saying service power steering . I decided to drive around the block to see if there would be any change in handling of the car. There was none, so I parked the car in the driveway.”

“My steering wheel when turning left or right is becoming difficult to turn and makes squealing noise when turned. When brought to the dealership it was told to me that nothing was coming up wrong with the steering on the cpu. I was told I would have to wait until the steering pump goes to make any fixes. After research many of other 2014 Dodge Charger users have had issues with their steering wheel completely locking or losing any control of the steering while driving at high speeds.”

I took to mechanic and he detected that it was the power steering pump. The mechanic called dealership for car part the next day because Dodge service department was closed because of holiday. So today when he called he said they informed him that it was a common problem with the Dodge chargers. …”
