“When driving, the van will start shaking and shut down. This has happened while in park too. Also, when van won't start, we open up the fuse box and sometimes just by putting your hand on the fuse box the electrical system will start-up then we can cycle the van on. This has happened while parked outside the bank and while at a red light in traffic.”

NHTSA complaint #11210417, filed 2019-05, 120,000 miles

“The tipm in our van has failed, it is a known and common issue for chrysler and they refuse to acknowledge the issue or do anything to fix the issue. It causes multiple electrical system failures and ultimately renders the engine useless at random times when the relay fails. My car will no longer start due to the failure of this part, and the known issues with it.”

NHTSA complaint #11120123, filed 2018-08, 110,000 miles

“Van stalls and sometimes will not start back up . This has happened a few times on the highway so I can no longer drive the van as this problem is getting worst every day my husband drives it to work and has had the same problem as I have had with the van. We are thinking of trading it in but don't want anyone to get suck in the middle of the highway”

NHTSA complaint #10966343, filed 2017-03, 52,497 miles

“After driving at highway speeds for 2 hours, when returning home and shutting off the engine, I heard whirling noises coming from my fuel tank. Upon moving the vehicle, 30 minutes later, the van experienced a rough start. The following morning, the battery was dead. After jumping off the vehicle, it ran smoothly but I am concerned this will happen again.”

NHTSA complaint #11057317, filed 2017-12, 65,500 miles

“My car was not on and was stationary, in my drive way. I went to start my car to move it and it wouldn't start. I did some checking on the internet and found that the tipm was having issues. I made a bypass from the passenger outlet to the fuel pump relay to get power. This is a temporary fix but it has worked so far. I have added a picture of my bypass for documentation.”
