“I just acquired this vehicle. I understand gas 6 recalls based in the NHTSA. Doors read model 2004. I called chrysler Dodge dealer in hemet, california and the service receptionist stated there is nothing to do that are no recalls for this van. Please help. The light engine is on. The power train kicks sometimes (drags) suddenly. And I see the 6 recalls applicable to this model”

NHTSA complaint #11156700, filed 2018-12, 15 miles

“Every time I fill up the vehicle with gas, it stalls every time within the first few minutes, last week daughter was merging into traffic when it happened and almost got rear-ended. This has been happening for a while now. Last winter I wasn't able to fill the vehicle, the pump kept shutting down but that went away after the weather warmed up.”

NHTSA complaint #10899053, filed 2016-08, 65,000 miles

“Nearly every time the we fill the tank full of fuel the engine shuts down after leaving the station. Typically it will happen mid turn while pulling out of the station or else within a block of leaving. When it happens the steering stops working normally. We have to shift the vehicle to neutral and restart it and then put it back in drive and go.”

NHTSA complaint #10632231, filed 2014-09, 154,000 miles

“The fuel pump on our 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan had to be replaced due to cracks and leaks which left a strong fuel odor along with the loss of gasoline. The fuel pump should have lasted at least 100,000 miles but it did not. When I searched online, I found that quite a few owners of the same vehicle had this problem. The sub par parts are costly to replace, especially when considering it was no fault of the owners.”

NHTSA complaint #10559754, filed 2014-01, 70,000 miles

“I had noticed the smell of gasoline outside of my car a week or so before. My husband and I went to the gas station to fill up my tank. We pulled out on to a major road with traffic. The car began jerking and trying to stall. After a few minutes it was fine. Yesterday, I got gas again and pulled out with my kids in the car. The car started doing the same thing. There have been multiple reports of this happening. Please help before someone gets killed!”
