“The 05 Grand Caravan that I have has the lock issue the buttons inside nor the key fob will unlock or lock the vehicle. So if I were in a emergency situation and I need to lock or unlock my doors I would not be able to in time therefore I think this is a huge safety issue. My father in law is having the same issue with his 05 town and country.”

NHTSA complaint #10548590, filed 2013-10, 100,000 miles

“Headlights will not turn on and have turned off (on their own) while driving. This has happened before and I had to mess with the switch repeatedly on multiple occasions before the lights would come back on. Also, the door locks stop locking/unlocking and we have to pull the fuse, then put it back in for them to work again. Vehicle is a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan sxt.”

NHTSA complaint #10326255, filed 2010-04, 40,000 miles

“Our Dodge Grand Caravan locks stopped working (neither the keys or the automatic button work). My husband has looked up a quick fix (pulling the iod fuse and reinserting it). However this keeps happening and it is a safety issue because you can't get into or out of your vehicle quickly. Especially for families with young children.”

NHTSA complaint #10364021, filed 2010-11, 69,000 miles

“My 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan has 70000 miles on it. Last week I found out that the power door locks do not work. By doing an online search it seams like a large number of Dodge Grand Caravan owners are experiencing this issue. I feel like this is a safety issue because it is not easy to lock/unlock doors specially when you have young children.”

NHTSA complaint #10291381, filed 2009-11, 70,000 miles

“My power door locks stopped working from inside the vehicle and with the remote. I took it to the dealer and the solution was to reprogram the body control module. Searching this site and through google shows that this seems to be a popular problem. Now I also have to replace the driver side sliding door power lock actuator because it also stopped working!”
