“My driver side window has lost power 2 times now. The first time we replaced the motor to the power window, this was less than 2 months ago. Now the window has stopped working again, I have tried everything and the window will not roll up it is stuck down in the door.”

NHTSA complaint #10289417, filed 2009-10, 97,400 miles

“The power door locks and power windows randomly stopped working on my van. There are numerous complaints about this from 1005 Dodge van owners all over the internet. The equipment continues to fail and I have been unable to find a solution.”

NHTSA complaint #10344449, filed 2010-07, 80,000 miles

“Windshield wipers stuck together during rain causing visibility problems. I had to pull of the interstate highway and manually separate the wipers. Had this happened in heavy traffic with heavy rain, I would have been blinded.”

NHTSA complaint #10230902, filed 2008-06, 45,000 miles

“Driving down a highway, and the right rear window of our 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan (63k miles) just fell out at ~60 miles per hour. There was no warning, the car has never been in an accident, the window was not vented, and nothing was up against the window. We are fortunate that this happened while we were in the right lane, and it was the right side of the car, so the window probably fell to the side of the road. We are also fortunate that we did not have anything fall out the window that could have caused an accident. …”

NHTSA complaint #10275955, filed 2009-07, 62,500 miles

“My caravan has had numerous electrical problems and is now sitting in my driveway unable to be driven or to sell. Power window and door failure, gauges jumping, radio disconnecting itself, lights turning on and off when no one is in the car, and finally the end result is total power failure (sometimes in the middle of an intersection). Scared for my life and the life of my children I have stopped driving it. I have spent 1600.00 at the Dodge dealership only to finally be told they can no longer help me. I have talked to chrysler directly and they stopped calling me back. …”
