“The following has happened to my car. The ahr headrest went off, and I wasn't in an accident. However, Dodge chrysler is not wanting to issue a recall since a person is not at risk for injury. However, cost to fix this headrest runs in the $500-$900 category. And it's a known issue. So why isn't Dodge chrysler acknowledging it? The 'active head restraint' (ahr) headrests found in certain chrysler vehicles and manufactured by grammer ag suffer from a defect. …”

NHTSA complaint #11349794, filed 2020-08, 71,000 miles

“The air bag light turned on while sitting at a complete stop. I noticed that when I get up from the seat the light will go off and then back on again once I sit back down. I seemed to do it more when the car had been in direct sun light. Since the first time it came on the light is random and comes on and off at any given time. Dealer has been notified and service is scheduled for later this week.”

NHTSA complaint #10526312, filed 2013-07, 2,650 miles

“I purchased this auto on 8/12/2013. According to the Dodge website the car has an outstanding recall on it (safety recall n44 / NHTSA 13v-283 reprogram occupant restraint control module). I specifically asked the dealer when I bought the car if there were any recalls on it and was told no. Now I learn that not only does it have an open recall on it, but also that chrysler announced over a month before my purchase date.”

NHTSA complaint #10537389, filed 2013-08, 15 miles

“The safety headrest deployed in our 2013 Grand Caravan. The vehicle was not in use, stationary and parked in driveway, nor was it hit by another vehicle. In looking at the history of this make and model, it appears that this is a known issue with this vehicle. Such occurrences are dangerous and not sure why a recall has not been issued already?”

NHTSA complaint #11337056, filed 2020-07, 98,000 miles

“Air bag light goes on and off like ther is someone in passenger seat when empty, car turns air bag on and off by weight.doesnt work properly. In 2011 recall on same vehicle for bad havac causing leak. This stops heating systom from working properly and air bag not to work . My 2013 doing same but know recall.does all the time.”
