“I have 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan. The clockspring went bad. There are recall on many vehicle on previous year. The dealer told me that 2001 is not on the recall list and it will cost around $250 to repair it. It has been known the clockspring was a problem they might tried to fix the problem in 2001 model but it is not perfect. 2001 should be in the recall list.....”
NHTSA complaint #10355685, filed 2010-09, 82,000 miles“First my airbag light came on. Then my controls for my radio on my steering wheel quit working. Then my horn quit working. Then my cruise control quit working. This happened in about a 2 month time. I have been told by a couple of mechanics that there is a recall out for this problem. It seems to have a recall for other Dodge vehicles but not my model. Why?”

Contact Dodge via email and was told this was not a recall item for my Dodge Grand Caravan. This seems to be a clockspring issue. This was a issue on the 2000 Dodge caravan- recall number 04v480000.”

The airbag light and our radio volume controls on the steering wheel for our 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan were not working. After paying $70 to diagnose the dealer told us the clockspring was not working (it was open ). I see that the prior year (2000) of caravan has this same problem. Dodge issued a recall with lifetime warranty as this is not supposed to happen.”

I also own a 2000 caravan that has been recalled for a faulty air bag clock spring ass'y. My neighbor has a 2002 Grand Caravan sport that has been recalled. Dodge refuses to issue a recall for my 2001 car.”
