“On june 21 2019 my wife and I drove to our ivf doctors appointment from our home in waco texas to houston texas. On our trip back home the air bag light came on as she was driving our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan. She took a picture of the dashboard the light went off maybe about 30 minutes while driving and we noticed the light of the airbag came on seven times more while we were driving on our way home. We would like legal advice please.”
NHTSA complaint #11221875, filed 2019-06, 88,000 miles“When I collapse the second row seats in my 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, the head rest snap downward, extremely fast with a powerful force. I am required to pull on a handle on the doorside of the seat, which begins the automatic process of the folding of the chair, to eventually be able to store the seat in the floor of the van, for cargo space. The first time I attempted to store the second row passenger seat, on the driver's side of the vehicle, I placed my left hand on the inside, upper part of the seat, where your right shoulder might be if you are sitting in the seat. …”
NHTSA complaint #11256558, filed 2019-09, 18,000 miles“The driver's side headrest has deployed on it's own while parked in a driveway and turned off. After inspection, the plastic brackets that retain the metal pin that is supposed to secure the headrest broke apart and released the headrest into a deployed position. This is a design flaw that should be recalled before someone becomes injured. The headrest is under a spring loaded force that the plastic was not engineered to restrain.”
NHTSA complaint #11383209, filed 2020-12, 52,000 miles“I was loading my dog into the driver's side door of my Grand Caravan when I heard a pop next to my head. When I started looking around I discovered that my driver's seat headrest had split apart. I was seconds away from driving. This just happened this morning before work so I have not had a chance to take it to a dealership. There were no warning lights prior to this event.”
NHTSA complaint #11514414, filed 2023-03“56k miles and transmission needed to be replaced on my 2016 Dodge Caravan. Immediately following my airbag light went on as well as my engine light. There was a recall on certain transmissions built. They need to look into it further.”
