“2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. 3.6 pentastar engine. 60k miles. For over a year it has rough idle and engine vibration at hwy speed. Misfire on cylinder #2 does not go away. Always returns. Have replaced coils, plugs twice and injectors. #2 cylinder misfire still throws engine light. Went to and called Dodge dealer several times about problem. They claim there are no known issues, problems or recalls. They keep trying to tell me it's bad fuel and I should use higher grade fuel. I've done that as well and the misfire on #2 cylinder is always there. …”

NHTSA complaint #11373136, filed 2020-11, 49,000 miles

“During the course of driving van skips/slips then will start decreasing speed but then will pick back up. This happens on city streets or highways it does not matter. Started in july to present.”

NHTSA complaint #11321203, filed 2020-04, 4 miles

“My wife drove to and from a doctor's appointment. When she went to leave the vehicle did a hard jolt and would not drive anymore. There was no indication or prior warning lights about the transmission. Had it towed to a shop. Did my research and between 2016 -2018 there was a known issue with power trains on the Dodge Grand Caravan.”

NHTSA complaint #11677926, filed 2025-08

“Drove it one day and it was fine, then next day I went on my lunch break and it lost power, I pull in a parking lot put it park then tried to pull it in reverse and it would only go into neutral. After a couple times it have went into reverse but found out the transmission has to be replaced. Only 110,000 miles.”

NHTSA complaint #11579662, filed 2024-03

“The transmission failed. Yes, it is available for inspection. My safety and the safety of others were put at risk because the vehicle lost all forward propulsion as I was pulling into busy, fast moving traffic. The vehicle is pending repair at this time. There were no warning lamps or other symptoms. There was a loud pop, the rpm's immediately skyrocketed until the rev limiter was activated, and the vehicles was immediately disabled in the middle of oncoming traffic.”
