“Severely corroded brake lines, lines blew. Near miss accident. This is a common complaint across mfrs. Had the same incident 1 month ago on 1997 GM product. Well maintained cars with severely corroded fuel and brake lines. I bet it can be traced to a cheap supplier that supplied the big 3 for a period of years. No corrosion resistance on the steel. Can't blame this on ne winter salt. My oem 1964 looks better than my late model vehicles.”

NHTSA complaint #10629432, filed 2014-08, 66,903 miles

“The brake booster is getting water in to it and freezing I replaced the booster 4 years ago. Same complaint hen I had it into a garage they say that it is water a gain it froze a gain each time it does this their is no way to push in the brake pedal meaning you have no brakes this condition could cause a fatal accident as you have no brakes.”

NHTSA complaint #10258800, filed 2009-02, 90,000 miles

“Dt: the engine stalled while the consumer was on the freeway. The consumer was able to pull off on a shoulder of the road. The vehicle had the brakes and rotors replaced, and regular maintenance. The consumer took vehicle to the dealership and they told her that the engine had to be replaced. The consumer has not had the problem fixed.”

NHTSA complaint #10133226, filed 2005-08, 122,000 miles

“The driver's side power window didn't go down, the passenger's side power window operates intermittently. The window motor must be replaced. The anti-lock brakes were inoperative, and Dodge neglected to repair an oil valve which caused the engine to fail. The vehicle was involved in a fender bender after the leaving the dealership, the consumer believed it was due to the anti-lock brakes.”

NHTSA complaint #10051652, filed 2004-01, 43,487 miles

“Brakes hiss and get hard when temp drops below 32 degrees, suddenly and without warning. Unable to stop. Took to mechanic, who discovered the master cylinder and brake booster was ruined due to rust, because water runs into the area from windshield drainage points. This is a design flaw which allows leakage directly into the brake booster/master cylinder area. Car is now in shop to have both parts replaced ( ~$500-600). Chrysler should cover these repairs and issue a recall before someone dies. …”
