“Not to long after I bought my Journey 2011, I can hear a loud whine when I turn my car on. It keeps whining until I'm driving away. Is it doing damage? Since I bought my Journey, I have been very pleased with it and would, even with the problems of the whining and the huge power steering fluid lose, that for some reason my specific car is not included in the recall, remain a huge fan.”

The engine continued to idle, but it would not go into the next gear. After having it towed to carmax where it was purchased. They sent it to the transmission shop who later confirmed my torque convertor was faulty. So it was replaced. My truck was in the shop from 9/21-9/25. I was finally able to pick it up on monday 9/28.
