Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“If I hit a bump when traveling straight at highway speeds, it causes an extreme wobble that only improves by slowing down significantly. I'm afraid that it will eventually cause an accident. It feels like you could easily loose control. I have taken it to my mechanic and the dealership and they can't find anything wrong.”

NHTSA complaint #10966707, filed 2017-03, 125,000 miles

“The right lower control arm has broken, as if it had been cut, down the middle. Even though I purchased this vehicle from a friend, I have never abused this vehicle in any fashion. The person from whom I purchased it did use it to pull a 5th wheel rv. I was jsut amazed by the way the control arm broke.”

NHTSA complaint #10891811, filed 2016-07, 62,400 miles

“My truck has death wobble. When I drive on the highway under normal driving conditions and hit even the slightest bump just right, my front end will shake violently and will not stop shaking until I slow down to under 30 MPH. It has been happening for 2 years now and there isn't a sure fire fix for this problem. Several mechanics have looked at my truck and they all have a different idea of how to fix it.”

NHTSA complaint #10860871, filed 2016-04, 107,011 miles

“Uncontrollable front tires bouncing when my truck is driven over 55 miles and hits a bump. I have to slow down to stop the bouncing. This has been a problem since I bought the truck years ago and happens as a regular occurrence. The problem occurs every time I hit a bump at 55. I have replaced shocks had ties rotated, but the problem has not been fixed.”

NHTSA complaint #10379476, filed 2011-01, 65,000 miles

“Ran over a pothole at 65 MPH and the front end violently shook. Had to apply the brakes and slow down to 50 MPH in order to gain control. Took it into national tire and battery and $1700 later, I still have the problem. Semi truck behind me almost ran over me. Violently shakes. Very scary.”
