“There was an existing TSB on these year trucks stalling while turning well mine does it. This problem happens between 35-45 MPH while braking in to a turn maneuver and stall leaving me with no steering or brakes. I feel this is very dangerous and needs to be addressed further with chrysler/Dodge to be fixed.”
NHTSA complaint #10439437, filed 2011-12, 126,105 miles“My under warranty 2004 Dodge ram with a hemi engine has loud lifters and runs rough. The lifter may seize causing the engine to suck a valve and seize the engine yet the dealer nor Dodge will do anything and claims it's normal. I have 2 other older Dodge's and I'm no fool. The engine has 29,000 miles and when I first complained it had 20,000. Please guide me to finding help.”
NHTSA complaint #10164396, filed 2006-08, 20,000 miles“Ac does not blow cold on passenger side and freezes up losing power; took it to dealer under warranty on two occasions and they said they could not duplicate complaint . I also have taken it to the dealer while under warranty and complained that the drivers door never seals properly and the wind noise is ridiculous! They said they heard nothing and could not duplicate my complaint. I have replaced the rubber door strip which did nothing. The dash board cracked while under warranty and the dealer said that I would have to pay $600 even under warranty. …”
NHTSA complaint #10425678, filed 2011-09, 50,000 miles“I purchased a Dodge durango in nov of 2004 brand new with only 42 miles on it. Since that date I have had it back to the shop where I purchased it 6 times. It would not start and had to be jump started for over a month, and now it just decided that if it wants to shut off no matter where it is or how fast it is going it just shuts off. I have returned it to the dealer ship and have not gotten a bit of help. I walk a way with the felling that I am the laughing stock of the dealership.”
NHTSA complaint #10145668, filed 2005-12, 18,000 miles“I purchased a 2004 Dodge RAM 2500 cummins truck. There are horrible diesel oil fumes entering the cab from the engine compartment. I was first told by the dealer that it was due to the engine being new. After 15,000 miles I was told that they have an oil additive available to 'fix' the problem by making it smell better. My 9 month pregnant wife cannot ride with me. The fumes are horrible and are causing nausea, headaches, and possibly poisoning which I have no way to verify. …”
