“When I was driving at about 40mph another car cut me off and launched a pebble to my windshield. When I got home I saw a tiny chip in the windshield at mid-height in line with the front seat passenger's sight line. Over the next month or so a crack developed spontaneously and spread across the whole windshield. Replacing the windshield was very expensive!”

NHTSA complaint #11582750, filed 2024-04

“My windshield wipers are randomly stopping working in the middle of driving in the rain. When the wipers stop, nothing on the lever is working, no rear wiper, no front wiper and no wiper fluid. The lever on the handle works nothing. This has happened probably 5 times randomly in last two weeks. Once the wipers stopped in an upright position and lever wouldn’t do anything until i hit a bump in the road and they all of a sudden started working again. Very scary, very dangerous. I took it into FORD dealer and they said nothing was wrong after their diagnostics and they sent me on my way. …”

NHTSA complaint #11773731, filed 2026-10

“The positioning of the wipers is poorly designed.it allows ice and snow to build up rendering the wipers inoperable and almost impossible to thaw out even with the window defroster .Ford is aware of this issue because earlier models used to come with a deicer.Canadien models come with a deicer.I contacted ford customer service and was directed to go to the dealer, which I did and filed a complaint . the service manage said that's all they could do. It is a safety issue because if you are driving in heavy snow the wipers will become inoperable.this issue pertains to Ford Bronco Sport vehicles.”

NHTSA complaint #11567294, filed 2024-01

“The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while driving approximately 70 MPH with the sunroof closed, he heard the sunroof glass explode. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer; however, the contact stated that only photos were taken, and the vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000.”

NHTSA complaint #11509342, filed 2023-02, 1,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while driving at a slow speed, the sunroof inadvertently shattered without warning or impact. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was advised to call the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.”
