“A large crack in the windshield appeared out of nowhere. There was no injury to the windshield, no damage from a rock, etc. I got in my car one day after work and a large crack had appeared. I viewed company footage to see if something damaged my car, and there was nothing found. The crack appeared as a malfunction of defect of the car.”
NHTSA complaint #11511274, filed 2023-03“My engine light on again evap canister Ford does not warnnety it. Need the oil recalled done but my Ford dealer ship will not do it so running it with engine light on vo recalled done and wiper washer does not spray, can not get anything done by my Ford dearler ship”
NHTSA complaint #11475461, filed 2022-07“The wind shields on these vehicles are cracking in abundance. My Bronco wind shield cracked on the passenger side from the edge across the window. No rock hit it. I just came out one morning and it was cracked. I've read many complaints on line from owners having this problem. Now you can't get new wind shields because there have been so many issues, they are on back order. I tried to contact Ford but they referred me to you. I do not believe this is normal.”
NHTSA complaint #11483917, filed 2022-09“While driving on interstate I noticed what seemed to be small gravel (sand like) hitting the vehicle. Then I heard the sound of the window cracking across from the lower drivers side to the center of the window. I never noticed anything striking the window. After stopping in a safe area I could see on the outside that something small had struck it. The windshield has been replaced by my insurance company and One week later I have already received one small chip. …”
NHTSA complaint #11431832, filed 2021-09“Had a rock hit my windshield in the lower left corner. It immediately started to crack approx 8 . The next morning it grew to about 18+ . I have heard that the glass used is thinner than most. I feel this is a major concern to the consumers as if any little thing may crack these windshields and have the customer shell out more money to have them replaced everytime. I feel safety is a factor as well, causing possible shattering, etc. Car is scheduled for a safelite replacement.”
