Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“My 2021 Bronco failed our family on Friday. The Bronco failed to start upon pressing the start and brake pedal. The main console panel started flashing then cycling through all kinds of failure alerts. There was a series loud noises from the engine, the headlights flashed off and on for over 3 minutes and then the engine started smoking. The doors would not open and we were stuck inside while the engine was smoking. That smoke came through the air vents as well. Finally, I was able to get my door open though couldn’t open my son’s rear passenger side door from the outside. …”

NHTSA complaint #11549110, filed 2023-10, 28,296 miles

“The car stalls out and stops accelerating while on the road, putting me in danger. At first, it displayed service and check engine lights, and the Ford Service Dept said it was a faulty transmission sensor. They replaced it, and now no service and check engine lights appear, but the car continues to have problems accelerating or changing gears. It is driving very loud as well and struggling to drive at high speeds. Consumer stated auto-shutoff at lights is also not working consistently and continues to stay shutoff even after letting go of the brakes. This hasn't ever happened before.”

NHTSA complaint #11441831, filed 2021-11, 100 miles

“As I was driving the vehicle it lost all power. Nothing on it worked, including the locks and windows. It turns out that the warning system that my battery was low wasn’t functioning and my battery was down to 5%. If I had gotten notice I could have replaced the battery prior to the car literally bricking as I was driving it on a busy city street.”

NHTSA complaint #11627110, filed 2024-11

“Car check engine light came on, I came home parked the car, in about 5 minutes the cars embarked in flames, the car burned down to the ground. The safety of my entire home (flames caught onto house) and neighbors home was at risk. The burning car was inspected by Fire Chief of Christiana Fire Company”

NHTSA complaint #11713086, filed 2026-01

“My car broke down and couldn’t start. Leaving me stranded 6 hours away from my house. I had to stay in a hotel and get my car fixed the next day. It was a temporary fix because there is no solution for the problem. I had to pay for a new battery because there is not a fix for the problem.”
