“My car began experiencing overheating and kept disabling 4WD while I was driving, smoke began to come out of the front hood and tailpipe. Took to repair shop and they stated my transfer case and harness was burned completely with unknown reason why this could occur. I see there is a recall for other bronco models for the same exact issue”
NHTSA complaint #11755195, filed 2026-08“I have cut my arm two times on the door lock while exiting the vehicle. The door lock sticks out and the point is very sharp. I have blood thinner issues and it could cause severe problems. It occurs when the door cannot be opened all the way and you turn to exit. This needs to be rounded off and the flashing from casting the part needs to be sanded off”
NHTSA complaint #11675044, filed 2025-07“Vehicle's infotainment center is totally dead. No backup camera & I am disabled, have great difficulty turning around to see when I back up (I've had a cervicle spinal fusion which limits my field of vision). Dealer states no other complaints & Ford cannot provide a fix for even just the backup camera problem until Oct.”
NHTSA complaint #11742886, filed 2026-06“The steering is temporarily disabled when the vehicle is in the auto off/fuel saver mode. I had an approaching EMS vehicle that I was almost struck by because my vehicle was off due to that feature. The steering wheel was not responsive.”
NHTSA complaint #11652400, filed 2025-04“I have contacted ford directly and they still have not gotten a remedy for the unrepaired recall. My spouse and I went on a road trip that was 20 hour trip in total. They told us to keep driving it until it catches on fire because they did not have a remedy for it yet. We had just taken it in for an oil change and had them look the vehicle over due to the rpms keep jumping up even when going at low speed. The vehicle keeps loosing power and shakes when at idle or even when it starts up. …”
