“225/65 R 17 A small sliver of wood Punctured the sidewall which is unbelievable that a tire would be that weak from what appears to be a blunt puncture on a Ford Bronco Sport made for all kinds of off and on road driving conditions and something as small as a flattened tooth pick would be sufficient as a safe tire. Looking at continental tires track record with sidewall rubber structural issues I suspect this is another defect and should be investigated and recalled before causing property damage ,serious injury or death due to sidewall issues .”

The contact stated that one month later the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the differential was damaged after the dealer had installed an incompatible tire on the vehicle. The dealer confirmed that the failure was caused by the mismatched tire installed on the vehicle. The contact was informed that all four tires needed to be replaced and the differential also needed to be replaced. …”
