“I am very concerned because I have a letter dated August 2025 about this recall and nothing has been done yet. If something happens while I’m driving my car, I could have an under hood fire, resulting in risk of injury to myself or others in the vehicle. I feel it is taking entirely too long to fix this problem. It’s causing me a great deal of stress when I’m driving my vehicle.”
NHTSA complaint #11742670, filed 2026-06“I was driving my 2024 Bronco Sport, my car started stalling, power was being lost, got stuck on railroad tracks, lights on dash board of icons appeared & engine was shutting down mid drive with no warning or issues. 13,500 miles on the car”
NHTSA complaint #11743378, filed 2026-06“I have contacted ford directly and they still have not gotten a remedy for the unrepaired recall. My spouse and I went on a road trip that was 20 hour trip in total. They told us to keep driving it until it catches on fire because they did not have a remedy for it yet. We had just taken it in for an oil change and had them look the vehicle over due to the rpms keep jumping up even when going at low speed. The vehicle keeps loosing power and shakes when at idle or even when it starts up. …”
NHTSA complaint #11684418, filed 2025-09“I’d like to open a customer concern case. While I was driving on the freeway on, my gas tank was punctured after hitting debris in the road. It was a standard highway situation—not off-roading or anything extreme. The fact that the gas tank was damaged to the point of leaking or requiring repair is very concerning. It was a very large rupture. I believe the underbody protection may not be adequate, and I’m worried this could be a design or safety issue. I’ve taken photos and have a repair estimate. …”
NHTSA complaint #11650914, filed 2025-03“I reached out to ford due to my 2024 bronco sport overheating and running hot. During the time of that complaint I was advised that my bronco currently has a recall that the fuel tank needs to be replaced but it is currently being deemed as non safety and will only be addressed if the vehicle is in for service. I was also advised that due to this recall it is currently a part of fords customer satisfaction program. Anything fuel related should be deemed as a safety recall considering fuel is a flammable chemical. …”
