“2nd time in a month this car has shut off completely while in motion. Both times in an intersection. No power to even turn on hazards to let traffic know I was stuck. Finally gets some power and hazards are able to come on but they are faulty and glitch, do not stay consistently on. Ford had no answers for me a month ago and just sent me home.”
NHTSA complaint #11506164, filed 2023-02“Headlight cracked even though it is made of plastic. Brand new car, only 3 months old and Ford claims that a “foreign object” must have hit it. Although in all the vehicles I have driven in the state of Maine, never has a rocket broken my headlight. Not to mention the cost to fix it is $2,600 for one headlight.”

Emergency lights would not come on, it was if the entire electrical system was out. I was in the middle of the road, so needed to put hazards on to warn others and I could not. Cops came to place flares to warn other drivers after 35 minutes. No warning codes or anything to let me know what was happening. Having car towed. 10 minutes before tow truck arrived, vehicle started, so I was able to move it to a safer place. …”

It was if someone disconnected the battery completely from the car. No lights, No screen, No ignition. The traffic light turned green and I immediately pressed my foot on the brake and tried to start the engine. I noticed there were not lights, no sounds and no reaction from the engine. Windows would not go down either. I tried too put the hazards on to signal people and they had no power. The car was completely dead in the road. …”
NHTSA complaint #11534697, filed 2023-07“While driving today, this car abruptly stopped in the middle of the road. it would not restart and it was puttering over and over and popping for no reason it was resulted in me being stranded in the middle of a busy arterial for three hours. I called roadside assistance to jumpstart the vehicle and within three minutes it did the same thing is shut down at the corner. I was able to get into a parking lot and assess the issue and I actually had them jumpstart once again. I sat for 15 minutes and drove to an auto shop. They stated that there was no issue with the starter battery or alternator. …”
