“My vehicle was sitting in a small parking lot at work and the back liftgate glass blew out onto the pavement. It was 95 degrees outside. The liftgate arms and all the shattered glass were on the outside of my vehicle. I called the dealership and was told nothing they could do and they didn't even ask to look at it. I paid out of pocket to replace the glass. …”
NHTSA complaint #11716473, filed 2026-02“While attempting to back up I was checking my backup camera and it showed that nothing was behind me, as I started to turn while backing up I felt a bump, there was a car right behind me, I couldn’t see it in my mirror and apparently the camera was frozen on my Bronco.”
NHTSA complaint #11668332, filed 2025-06“My infotainment screen goes blank when I backup instead of displaying my backup camera. There is an active recall on this but there is no remedy and no estimated remedy date. Ford Motor Company is only prioritizing 2026 model years so they can sell brand new vehicles. They are not trying to fix previous model years. This poses a safety risk that can result in a crash and/or death. Cars are required by law to have a backup camera, so Ford is breaking the law by not fixing this issue.”
NHTSA complaint #11730034, filed 2026-04“After making a right hand turn, when the steering wheel recenters for some unknown reason it is turning on the left turn signal. I had noticed it in the past and thought I was wrong, but it continuing to do it.”
NHTSA complaint #11749931, filed 2026-07“While traveling out of town the key fob unpaired from the vehicle while stopped at a gas station. We were locked out of the vehicle and the key fob would not unlock the vehicle. We were able to use the app to unlock the vehicle, but the vehicle would not detect the key. We replaced the batter in the key fob, but the issue persisted. Luckily we used Youtube to find a solution, which is to place the key in the bottom of the center console. The key fob will intermittently unpair from the vehicle. …”
