“When starting the vehicle, 70% of the time the vehicle stalls after 1 minute, sometimes on the road which is dangerous. Now it is stalling after it has been driven for awhile and I place it in park. It now stalls while idling. In all instances I can restart the car with no problems...except if it stalls again, which is now approximately 50% of the time.”

NHTSA complaint #11395297, filed 2021-02, 72,000 miles

“My 2013 Ford Escape has an antifreeze leak somewhere. The mechanic at independence Ford cannot find the leak. The antifreeze warning light comes on. We have been replacing coils randomly 1 through 4. Now the check engine light is on again. The only code that comes up are the codes for the coils. How can they coils be bad when we just replaced them again.”

NHTSA complaint #11353007, filed 2020-09, 125,000 miles

“When idling the engine will stall. It will start right back up but sometimes will stall again when attempting to accelerate. Often there isok no power when attempting to accelerate.. I have had to put coolant in at least twice in 2 months. The vehicle overheats and forces me to pull over. None of the gages indicate overheat.”

NHTSA complaint #11404092, filed 2021-03, 60,000 miles

“Engine fault - service now light has come on at least once/year. When this happens the car hesitates and rides rough. I contact the Ford dealership immediately to have them fix the problem. The Ford dealership has worked on the car but the problem still exists. The warranty has expired. This has been an ongoing problem. Should I be responsible for repairs?”

NHTSA complaint #11377739, filed 2020-12, 53,300 miles

“It keeps stalling on me. When I back out of driveway it dies. At stop sign, ready to go and it dies. I've called Ford and they say it's not under warranty. I have 3 grandchildren and it died on me 3 times when they are n the car with me. Ford needs to step up and stand by their product before a fatality happens. Lawsuits will be coming.”
