“I have only owned my pre-owned vehicle for 3 years and have had to replace driver side front bearing 2x's, rear wiper motor twice and now vehicle will stall while in motion and at stops for traffic lights. I have always driven fords and feel that this is something with the assembly line because I learned of another from the same assembly line that had the same problems.”

NHTSA complaint #11299595, filed 2020-01, 95,000 miles

“Started car up in driveway and engine revived (RPM's went way up) just for a few seconds. Drove to destination pulled into parking stall as I applied the brakes, the engine revived up again and I was unable to stop, even while applying the brakes, the vehicle lunged forward over the parking block. The vehicle then stopped just short of hitting a tree.”

NHTSA complaint #10984318, filed 2017-05, 128,000 miles

“Stalling out in traffic speeding up for no reason.all symptoms point to throttle body exactly what they described to me at my local dealer! But told me they will not fix it until it sets a code !!!!!!!!!!! In the mean time I am afraid I will get hurt because it has stalled in traffic . I am really concerened for my safety.”

NHTSA complaint #10823896, filed 2016-02, 109,000 miles

“When driving car going about 45mph.car shut off and wrench will appear on dashboard . I have been able to coast off the road , shut off car wait for a few minutes and restart car . I am in fear that car will shut off in area where there is no shoulder and I will be hit from behind . There seems to be a pattern building with this same problem , same model, same year .”

NHTSA complaint #10789671, filed 2015-11, 63,000 miles

“As I was driving my car lost it throttle. The engine continued to run but I had no ability to accelerate. I pulled the car over. Turned it off, then back on and the car appeared to show no issues. About two weeks later the issue appeared again. Same solution. From my research this appears to be a common issue and could very much endanger anyone in the vehicle.”
