“My 2001 Ford Excursion with 82,000 miles, blew a spark plug out of the rear passenger side cylinder. The dealer states that the aluminum head failed and that there are no threads left in the hole. They also state that the only fix is to replace the head and it is not covered under my extended warranty that I purchased from Ford.”

The coil is on top of the engine sparking. At further inspection the spark plug has blown out of the engine. My husband is able to get the plug back in the engine so we can make it home. Nothing has been done to fix this problem, can't see paying Ford $3000.00 to replace head with the same faulty part.”
