Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“I own a 2005 Ford Expedition. On several occassions, when I stop the car, the glass (only) on the rear liftgate pops open automatically. If there is anything in the back of the vehicle (person or thing) it could possibly fall out of the back of the vehicle. I was wondering if others had reported this problem and if it should be looked into for recall. Latest incident was 07/03/07.”

NHTSA complaint #10195332, filed 2007-07
