“2005 Ford Expedition drivers side window regulator broke and window dropped into door panel with a loud crashing sound while driving. I'm reporting this to you because of several other reports I found on-line regarding the same issue. This seems to be a recurring safety problem that needs to be looked into, and possibly a recall issue.”

NHTSA complaint #10268599, filed 2009-05, 29,000 miles

“Rear driver side passenger window went down by itself and there is no way to send it up. Is stuck open. I am reporting because I found more than 20 forums online with hundreds of reported complaints on the same issue and I don't see the necessary recall on this item.”

NHTSA complaint #10534742, filed 2013-08, 80,000 miles

“I have a 2005 Ford Expedition xlt (100k miles, v8, a-trans). The drivers side window is stuck permanently in the open position. I am told the regulator is broken and must be replaced.”

NHTSA complaint #10283388, filed 2009-09, 101,000 miles

“The air conditioning unit is leaking excessive amounts of water under the carpet and the water is pooling under the rug and flowing into the channel where the wiring harness is located. This wiring harness does not look to be protected from water and it is a mater of time before the insulation on this wire breaks down and shorts out to the frame.”

NHTSA complaint #10466950, filed 2012-07, 71,000 miles

“Dt has a glare problem with the windshield, almost liking looking in a mirror because dashboard lights interfere with the visibility of driving down the road. Had a dark towel on the dashboard to help with the glare. Noticed this almost immediately. Been to the dealer, they had consumer call Ford because other customers had the same problem.”
