“I have an 08 Ford Expedition. The power windows have failed numerous times and have become a distraction when I'm driving. I almost rear ended someone today due to this defect. Ford has rebuilt them a couple of times and repaired them at least 3 other times. They were rebuilt 2 months ago and have failed again.”

“My 2008 Ford Expedition passenger front side window started a high pitch squeak/squeal when going up and down (power windows)a week later my driver front side window started the same, they both did this for about a month and then one morning I put the driver side down and went to put it up it started to shimmy up and down like it wanted to go up but would then go down again, after playing with it my husband finally got it to go up. …”

NHTSA complaint #10296222, filed 2009-12, 41,239 miles

“While my wife was rolling up the passenger side window in our vehicle, the window became stuck and would not roll back up. Now my wife and two kids were stuck riding around with a widow halfway rolled down in cold weather. She took the vehicle to the dealership and they wanted close to 400$ to repair it. This is pretty bad considering there is thousands of complaints on the internet on this same issue. A faulty window regulator. I called the parts department to get a price, and the sales person even told me this was a very common problem. …”
