“When turning right there was a complete loss of power with no response from the throttle it was just stuck coasting at 20klm hr. For 20 seconds or so then throttle kicked in and normal operation again. This has happened twice now in the past week. Very dangerous especially when turning into traffic.”
NHTSA complaint #11636701, filed 2025-01, 115,000 miles“My 2021 Powerboost F-150s experienced an issue where the truck lurched forward as if hit from behind after coming to a stop. This can result in the truck hitting the vehicle in front of you if you are in tight traffic. I dropped the truck at the local Ford dealer and was told it will take 1 to 3 months to fix the vehicle due to part in back order.”
NHTSA complaint #11495311, filed 2022-11“Check engine light on . Ford says exhaust heat exchanger bypass valve. I see online multiple people are having the same issue . Seems to be a common issue with this vehicle . They are saying it’s not a part of the power train warranty although it’s attached to the power train . This is a safety issue. With the amount of posts about this issue I’m surprised it isn’t a recall already.”
NHTSA complaint #11605088, filed 2024-07“In the last year I have taken my F150 powerboost in Autonation Ford Orange Park in Jacksonville, Florida twice for recalls. For recall NHTSA # 22S26/22V250 the service department said they were ordering parts and would contact me when they arrived. Never contacted me, even after follow ups. I have recently taken my there for recall NHTSA 23S35/23V509. They have not contacted me.”
NHTSA complaint #11544277, filed 2023-09“Jerking when accelerating and shifting, when this occurs vehicle has a harsh movement forward then there is a delayed response when trying to accelerate have been multiple occasions where I go to make a turn and vehicle doesn’t respond or stopping in the middle of a turn almost causing my vehicle to be tboned”
