“The rear light bar and reversing lamp assembly, which was part of a safety recall, is filled with water and the lights are malfunctioning again. Ford is telling me that the replacement part has a 1 year warranty so that I would have to pay over $1600 for a replacement. This is a widespread issue with many of these trucks. Ford admitted that it was a manufacturing defect with the original part. …”
NHTSA complaint #11659840, filed 2025-05“After opening hood (front trunk) electronically, the hood will not close after pushing electrical actuation button. The hood sometimes only opens partially after pushing the button on the front edge of the grill. The hood can be difficult to latch after malfunction of the electronic open/close mechanism. The emergency exit button is likely affected by the failure to open after pushing the button. It might be possible to be trapped in the front trunk or to have to hood open while driving.”
