“Started my truck to let it warm up before I took it in to town. Went inside for around 150 min, come outside and I seen smoke coming from my doors and as soon as I opened it feom the passenger door it was full of smoke and I seen a fire on my driver side feint seat. It completely burnt my truck and another f250 the was parked next to it.”

NHTSA complaint #11194696, filed 2019-04, 113,000 miles

“I bought a used 2012 f250 four wheel drive that had no dome, cargo, or map lights but everything else worked normal. After replacing bulbs, dimmer switch, and checking all fuses I took in to my Ford dealership and they found that due to moisture in the cab, it burned out the body control module aka bcm. Rumor has it that these trucks leak water from windshield or firewall. I paid 650 to have it replaced.”

NHTSA complaint #11120775, filed 2018-08, 157,000 miles

“Two different problems: first I was left stranded about 2 1/2 hours away from home because of a simple egt sensor defect shut down my truck. Had to pay a tower $350 to drive my truck to dealership and they tell me it was a little sensor that left me stranded. This type thing shouldn't happen when you pay $60,000 plus for a vehicle. Now months later I have another issue that from all the blogs say is a problem most 2012 models have called the death wobble . It is now happening at least once on every drive I make. …”
