Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“The door ajar light, dome light, and truck bed light stays on when the doors are closed and while driving on city roads. Once on the highway the senor will finally go off. We have told the dealership about the problem a few times but they refuse to do anything if they cannot see it happening. After driving to the dealership, the problem is not visible because we have to take the highway. They finally scheduled an appt. But waiting until the warranty expired to tell us they had time for us to bring it. It has literally been 3 years this month!”

NHTSA complaint #11350673, filed 2020-08, 9,000 miles

“In Texas this year we had 50+ days of 100F +. All the plastic parts on front and back cracked from within. Spider cracks form where the plastic is molded. Ford says it’s cosmetic however it’s on every piece of plastic and the dealers states “ I have seen a lot of this this year and all truck under 36 month warranty Ford covered as a defect hou out of warranty it’s a cosmetic issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11547390, filed 2023-09

“The door ajar light will come on and remain on after starting the engine and while driving. This happens while in park and while driving. Even after opening and reclosing the doors before moving the door adjar warning light will not go away. If i get up to 55 mph it'll finally go off. The cabin lights remain on while the display light is on distracting at night and beeps while driving. The doors will not automatically lock, whe I try to lock them, the unlock even at speeds of 45mph. This has been an on going issue since we bought the truck. …”

NHTSA complaint #11519513, filed 2023-04

“The headlights as designed with daytime lights installed are very bright and blinding to oncoming vehicles and vehicles in front of these trucks. They are as bright as a normal car's high beams. This is on the new Ford super duty trucks, not f150.”

NHTSA complaint #11033302, filed 2017-10

“This defect applies to all 2017 and 2018 model year Ford f-250, f-350, f-450, and f-550 trucks with standard halogen headlights. As equipped, these trucks illuminate four replaceable bulbs low beams, and four replaceable bulb high beams, both in excess of the maximum of 2 total specified in s10.15.1: a system must provide in total not more than two upper beams and two lower beams and must incorporate not more than two replaceable light sources in each headlamp.”
