“On december 12th, 2019, I was involved in a three-car fender bender on fairfax county parkway in virginia. I was traveling in slow-moving traffic at 7:20am, close to reston hospital, when the two cars in front of me slammed on their brakes unexpectedly and I unfortunately could not brake in time to avoid hitting the car in front of me. The car directly in front of me was a toyota SUV and had a tow-bar, which took most of the impact of the crash and caused damage to my vehicle. …”
NHTSA complaint #11291305, filed 2019-12, 31,000 miles“While driving at highway speeds in even mild wind or turbulent air from traffic the car has a loss of stability. The car was purchased in winter and as soon as conditions improved for highway speed to resume we found out.we do not feel the car should not be used for highway driving. When getting off the highway intermittently a vibration occurs as well as when traveling at 50mph occasionally feeling a drive line vibration feels like it comes from the right front wheel. …”
NHTSA complaint #11094082, filed 2018-05, 1,500 miles“The car's exterior design causes the rear window and entire hatchback to continually become covered in road dirt and obscure visibility out the rear window. The rest of the car is immaculately clean but the wind dynamics of the car design cause road debris to accumulate on the rear portion or the car. This happens when in motion in all types of driving.”
NHTSA complaint #11387449, filed 2021-01, 50 miles“My vehicle seized up as I was driving it and I wrecked it aside a median. I had to tow it to the ford dealership for them to diagnose it as the recall stated. The recall wasn’t officially out yet, so I had to tow my vehicle back to my house. This happened in February 2024. I have received a new engine, but had to continue to make payments on a car that I was not able to drive and only received a rental within the past 6 weeks since I have paid for new brakes, new battery, new tires, and an alignment. None of these things were covered for the recall except the engine. …”
