“On 7/26 my 2016 Ford fusion enegeri with 3800 miles acted oddly awhile at a red light. When I attenmped to accelerate it surged forward and soon after an icon that looked like a submarine ppeared on my dashboard. I had just taken the vehicle in for it's first service at 3400 miles. The specific visual was an engine light that looked like a submarine it was not a wrench - when I brought it to galpin Ford, where I purchased it, I was told it would be a week or more because of a 2-step process to diagnose and were backed up. I asked for a loaner. They said no. …”

Ford's recall notice states that the Battery Energy Control Module may become damaged due to excess voltage and current flow caused by a Current Interrupt Device activation in one or more high-voltage battery cells. Ford states that this can result in loss of motive power or a vehicle fire. My vehicle has been subjected to the recall remedy/interim work and I cannot use its plug-in charging capability. …”
