“NHTSA #26V104: I purchased this vehicle to rent it out on Turo (a vehicle sharing platform). It was de-listed from Turo on March 18 due to NHTSA #26V104 recall being unresolved. I have been unable to rent my vehicle since then and Ford has not provided a remedy to this recall. I would like to log a complaint that this software fix remedy has taken too long.”

NHTSA complaint #11464070, filed 2022-05

“I have a 2022 Ford Maverick XL Hybrid and the system that failed is the rear lighting system, specifically the tail lamps, brake lamps, and rear turn signals. This appears to be related to the Body Control Module (BCM) software, which was the subject of Ford Recall 24S27 affecting many 2022–2024 Ford Mavericks. The failure began on my vehicle with the left rear tail lamp assembly (running light, brake light, and turn signal), and within approximately two minutes the right rear tail lamp assembly also stopped functioning. …”

NHTSA complaint #11718278, filed 2026-02

“(there is a brake system malfunction. When braking sometimes the brakes would skip and I could feel the brakes not grabbing the rotors the way they should. the problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer because the dealership could not figure out what was causing the problem with the brakes. the dealership inspected the brakes. there was no warning lamps or messages of the brake problem.) I first started to hear a intermittent rubbing noise when braking and driving slow a couple months after I purchased the vehicle. …”
